Default Shockwave/Flash Detection Script

Guys,

I desire to have a detection page/script for the required plugins to run my site. I have seen it before but don't know where to start in creating this attribute. I have had clients complain that they do not want to go to macromedia web site and download the plugins because they are not proficient enough with the computer. I need to write something that will detect if the plugins are installed, and if not, auto download and install them before continuing on to the main site. My site requires the flash 6 and shockwave players.

Can anybody help? I searched the history of this forum and came up short, hopefully I didn't miss it.

Thanks,

Sean A. Gallagher

You can't force an auto download and install without the user' agreement anyways! What then is the problem with redirecting them to MM's download and install, since they'll basically be facing the same decision?
