I have a .fla file that I made (just by editing text in a template file). The .fla file runs the video perfectly. Then I create an .swf file and parts of the animation have gone missing as well as some of the text effects. Why is the .fla different that the .swf when the .swf is created from the .fla file? I know nothing about programming. I just used the edit function to change the actual text...nothing more...any IDEAS? Thanks.

it sounds like you know nothing about flash, so try looking at the tutorials.

what are you trying to achieve?

yah = a really good place to start on any journey is at the beginning.

try making some buttons or something :-) then work your way up the hill.
