Unhappy Drop down menu's

i've created a drop down menu with 5 horizontal buttons with vertical drop down submenu's, how do u make it so that when you put it into a webpage, the drop down menu's overlap the site underneith it? The only way i can insert the buttons so that i can see the sub menu's is to leave a big blank space underneith for the menu's, but i don't want that, how do i make it so that the sub menu's overlap?

i have made the menu, with 5 buttons, how do i save it without having to free up space below it? when i save the buttons with the document the height of the buttons and i preview, the submenu's cannot appear becoz i havnt made the document big enough to fit them in, but if i put the space in for them to fit in, i'm left with a big empty space, is there any other way to do it?
