Default How to define flash version

I have swf file. I tried to decompile it but some of the decompiled code was corrupted. I think that it may be connected with flash version which I've set in decompiler. How can I define flash version of this SWF?
I also is interested in calling some functions of this swf from outer code, for example js, other swf, may be Java. Is there any libraries for this purpose?

P.S. I'm not so good in flash, that's why I'm sorry for any mistakes in this post in advance.
