Flash AS3 is so developer heavy that it's not a big switch to Xcode.
I'll have to admit, I read the AS3 book in a few days when it first came out but never used it. I'm still using AS2.

Another good learning source for iphone application dev is the itunes U, the Stanford collection. I'm going through that now and it's really helpful.

why dont you use flash cs5.5
you can make iphone , ipad and even Android apps with it
