Question FPS Slowing Over Time

I created a very simple application that increments a counter and displays said counter on the stage. At around 18,000-20,000 iterations, I noticed a serious drop in FPS. Here's is the entire code:

Code:
var count:int = 0;

addEventListener(Event.ENTER_FRAME, mainLoop);
function mainLoop(e:Event):void {
    count++;
    Count.text = String(count); //(Count text field already placed on stage)

}
I'm running this at 39 FPS and by 20,000 iterations it has slowed to about 16 FPS. This problem is occurring on multiple computers with multiple versions of Flash player, in and out of the browser. I used Flash CS5.5 to write this.

Any ideas on why this is happening? Any help will be much appreciated.

Problem Solved! For anyone else who may encounter this problem - Apparently there is a major Memory Leak in flash associated with TLF Text Fields. I changed the field to Classic Text and the problem went away.

There is a topic about it on the adobe forums which I'm not allowed to link to, but apparently this has been an issue for over a year now.

Yeah, I have yet to use TLF for anything, so many issues and little advantages. Classic TextField FTW!
