reference them via their index in the array,
coinCollection[0] is first item,
coinCollection[1] is second item,
etc,
coinCollection[coinCollection.length - 1] is the last item.

Use a loop to iterate over coinCollection to reference all in one go.

What does this mean "the symbol using in the coinDrop,"?

Ok great thanks. The symbol that is spinning inside of the coinDrop is not playing. However, the symbol inside of the spinning symbol is playing.

Oh ok, well sounds like you just need to open up the timeline of coinDrop & at a frame where its finished transitioning, just call spinSymbol.play().
Just remember, I'm piecing together what this looks like in my head from your description, so I could be wrong...

You're really good at fixing these errors, even though some are pretty simple errors that I overlook lol

Ah that fixed it, well kind of.
When I put that in, it gave me the error message along the lines of "comparison with a button" then I automatically knew that somehow it got changed to a button from a movieclip. So now its fully functional!
Stupid mistakes.

Thanks so much for your help, really appreciated. Did you go to uni for programming or are you self taught?

Yes, I'm good at finding faults in things.
Now for the next stage in my life, I think I'll try to find what is good in things instead.

With regard to programming, entirely self taught macdonjo.
Each to his/her own I guess...
