[AS3] component radio button help

Iam trying to control the hit state of the flash radio button, but I can not seem to get it work for me. I have been able to make it a bit smaller, but not to what I want. The hit state seems to be the focusRectSkin state inside the radio. THis focusRectSkin will not become any smaller even after I try to use the transform tool on it. The attachment explains a bit more as well. Can anyone help?
