Ok, I have no idea what I am doing. I have created a button in flash... When clicked, I want it to open a file folder that is located in the same folder as my .swf file, but in a new window. Can somebody please help me? Thanks

You can try using: getURL("www.yourlink.com", "_blank");
Here is an excellent tutorial that will show you how to do it. Don't be afraid to post with questions if you don't understand something in it. ![]() http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14192.html |

Thank you for the reply.. I understand how to make the button open a website.. let me explain my project a little more..
I am using flash to make a "menu page" that will have buttons. I want each button to open a different folder, for example a "music" button that will open a folder in a new window containing .mp3s. My .swf file and all of the folders that I want to be able to open will be on a thumb drive and the .swf file ("menu page") will autorun when it is plugged into a usb port. I have no problem making the page look good.. but making it function is proving to be a challenge =/ |
