Default flashvars on <a href>

Hi Community

is it possible to change a flashvars variable with a <a href> click in a html page. I have looked at so much flashvars documentation and cant see anything. Which makes me think its not possible. or is it?

///my embed code bit
<embed
src='player.swf'
width='470'
height='290'
bgcolor='undefined'
allowscriptaccess='always'
allowfullscreen='true'
flashvars='file=mission.mp4&streamer=rtmp://tha-streaming.com/Tha&stretching=exactfit'
/>

No, that information is read once the SWF is loaded and cannot be changed when you click on a link in the HTML page because by the time you click on the link, SWF probably has consumed the FlashVars value already...
