Rotate vs Rotation

Is "rotate" used for direction or is it used to specify how many 360 revolutions an MC should make?
Is "rotation" a value, like a number .5 that relates to one 360 revolution?

Meaning, negative is CCW, Positive is CW, Rotate = number of 360 revolutions, and Rotation= the increments that make up a single 360 revolution?

1) why not try testing it... you would see how it ends up working

2) methods tend to mean what they say they are.

rotate - verb - changes the rotation by the amount you rotate by. So if you are at 30, and you rotate by 60... the result is 90. Sign denotes direction... so if at 75 and rotate by -15, you end up at 60.

rotation - noun - the actual current value... setting this updates it to the value passed. So no matter what rotation is, setting it to 60 results in 60.


Furthermore the way you do this infers the action. rotate(...) is a method/function. Function infers the idea that you are performing an action on something. rotation on the other hand is a property, a value that is set.
