yeah, but you are talking about flex 2 specifically.
we run into issues with some designs, some visual stuff just ain't easy with flex (1.5 specifically) but that is rare. |

True, I have never used Flex 1.5 at all so I can't speak to that. But Flex 2 and AS3 is quite a nice combination. Before I thought to use Flash for this app I'm working on I was planning to use a Java applet. Yesterday, several people told me they wre really glad I didn't use Java, since they don't think it works right. I think it works fine, but it's reputation from way back when still lingers. Flex 2 with AS3 seems a better choice anyhow.
