hey everybody, i hear alot about felx but never got around to using it.
what is it and what can it do?

most of the things flash can and somethings flash can't

So far I have not found much it can't do. Download it and give it a try.

yeah, but you are talking about flex 2 specifically.
we run into issues with some designs, some visual stuff just ain't easy with flex (1.5 specifically) but that is rare.

True, I have never used Flex 1.5 at all so I can't speak to that. But Flex 2 and AS3 is quite a nice combination. Before I thought to use Flash for this app I'm working on I was planning to use a Java applet. Yesterday, several people told me they wre really glad I didn't use Java, since they don't think it works right. I think it works fine, but it's reputation from way back when still lingers. Flex 2 with AS3 seems a better choice anyhow.
