Default ACK! Crash!

Hey Folks,
The lonewolfe server went down (again) and that brought down the engine/core with it. Unfortunately it corrupted my database so I gotta see if my unkie-in-law has proper backups.

If he doesn't it ain't no big thang to start over, don't ya'll go panickin' or nothing. Heck, things might be a bit more organized if I DO start over. Meh. We'll see.

I brought up a temporary core for people to log in and chatter using GMUD or MUSHclient, but you'll have to recreate. Ain't no big thang, right?

I'll keep you apprised of the sichie-ashun as it progresses/digresses/regresses. Your patience is appreciated and stuff.

Today has not been a good day for technology. Car went boom. Engine went boom. If only cars were as easy (and cheap) to fix as code!

Bad news - no backups were available. That means I get to start over from square one for the chat and other stuff. Fortunately I've started over enough on ColdCore that this is nothing new.

The "temporary" core is now a permanent core which I'm going to get rolling again for our project. Dunno how long this is gonna take, but at least you guys can log in again and recreate using GMUD or MUSHclient.

I'm out.

Should the client still be working? Or do we have to wait until some modifications have been made to the core?

I'm nearly done with the foundation code for the engine. Just a few more things about environment matching need to be addressed... which is what I broke before the place went belly-up.

What does this mean to you, gentle reader? Well, it means that I'm almost to the point of recoding the communication stuffage for the client. You won't be able to connect using it until I rebuild the daemon and interfaces. I'll keep you all apprised of the sichieashun as it unfurls.

Thanks fer hanging in there.
