Default cyanBlue's gallery104 tutorial question

First off...

Cyan I did try to post this on the forum of flashvacuum.com but for some reason it wont let me log on. I got my email confirmation but can't log on. Strange.

I followed the tutorial and applied it to my application but as usual I can get things from A-Y but figuring out what I am missing seems to always avoid me.

The image borders of the MC are 75x75 and if the jpeg is 75x75 the image will be perfectly centered at _x = 285 and _y = -20.

The zip is empty when I attempt to download it off the FV website so I can't look at the example you provided.

Here is the code.
Code:
function mainStage (who) {
	removeMovieClip (this.paintingMCMain);
	var MC:MovieClip = (this.attachMovie ("paintingMCMain", "paintingMCMain", 75));
	trace (paintingMCMain.painting._width);
	this.myMainMCL.loadClip ("Galleries/forSale/" + who + ".jpg", this.paintingMCMain.painting);
	_mc = this.paintingMCMain;
	if ((l >= t) && (t > 20) && (_mc._width > 1)) {
		var _w = _mc._width;
		var _h = _mc._height;
		var _b_mc = this.paintingMCMain.painting;
		var maxW = _b_mc._width;
		var maxH = _b_mc._height;
		var scaleX = scaleY = scaleFactor = 100;
		if (_w > maxW) {
			scaleX = maxW / _w * 100;
		}
		if (_h > maxH) {
			scaleY = maxH / _h * 100;
		}
		scaleFactor = Math.min (scaleX, scaleY);
		_mc._alpha = 1;
		_mc._xscale = _mc._yscale = scaleFactor;
		_mc._x = _b_mc._x + Math.floor ((maxW - _mc._width) / 2);
		_mc._y = _b_mc._y + Math.floor ((maxH - _mc._height) / 2);
	}
	blueApplyDropShadow (mainPainting);......
I also attached the fla.

Try downloading from any of these... I just downloaded and it worked just fine...
http://tutorials.flashvacuum.com/con...Gallery104.zip
http://www.flashvacuum.com/~tutorial...Gallery104.zip

Also attached in this thread as well, but I'd appreciate it if you can check the above links...

Check the file out and let me know how it goes...

As for the user registration... I basically made it so that it won't activate the user account when you register because there were some people who were spamming the board...

Cyan..Still can't seem to get this code working with my application.

I have a mc called "paintingMCMain" and the image is loaded in another MC within like so.....paintingMCMain.painting. I have another MC that I brought on the stage called border_MC. Basically the border I want to compare the jpeg loaded into paintingMCMain.painting.

Something isn't working or I got this all wrong.

Here is the code. If you need files let me know.

Code:
function mainStage (who) {
	removeMovieClip (this.paintingMCMain);
	var MC:MovieClip = (this.attachMovie ("paintingMCMain", "paintingMCMain", 75));
	this.myMainMCL.loadClip ("Galleries/forSale/" + who + ".jpg", this.paintingMCMain.painting);
	_mc = this.paintingMCMain;
	var l = _mc.getBytesLoaded ();
	var t = _mc.getBytesTotal ();
	if ((l >= t) && (t > 20) && (_mc._width > 1)) {
		var _w = _mc._width;
		var _h = _mc._height;
		var _b_mc = _root.border_MC;
		var maxW = _b_mc._width;
		var maxH = _b_mc._height;
		var scaleX = scaleY = scaleFactor = 100;
		if (_w > maxW) {
			scaleX = maxW / _w * 100;
		}
		if (_h > maxH) {
			scaleY = maxH / _h * 100;
		}
		scaleFactor = Math.min (scaleX, scaleY);
		//_mc._alpha = 1;
		_mc._xscale = _mc._yscale = scaleFactor;
		_mc._x = _b_mc._x + Math.floor ((maxW - _mc._width) / 2);
		_mc._y = _b_mc._y + Math.floor ((maxH - _mc._height) / 2);
	}

Um... Nope, I was not able to run the FLA file...
So, I take that your main problem is that the image is not centering... Is it correct???

Well its not even within the border_MC.

So I think that is my main problem. I look at the example that you have and I think I have everything close but I can't tell how close because it seems like my main problem might be that.
