Maybe it is because I'm tired and it's late, so perhaps someone could clarify. Obviously Adobe would love to sell me the Flex Enterprise Services Server, but I've been reading about Flex 2 working with a java server as well, can someone, in layman's terms explain if Flex 2 apps can be be run without needing a ColdFusion server or a specfic Adobe server?

1) realtime compiling 2) pre compiling the first option, is just like php\asp\jsp scripts, the server (Flash Data Services) so u will need some hosting with java support the second option, is just like developing stuff in flash, you write ur code, import assets and compile, then just apploah HTML+SWFs to your hosting |
