Well, we hit a little hiccup with 20's server meltdown (poor obese rodent) but we should find some ways to move forward in the meantime...
Pink did a new treatment of the client that has some nice ideas in it. Mainly the division of information into a status message box (for stuff like "who's here", "help", and "look", these are all button driven) and the main chat box for communication. This is good thinking. It'll keep the conversation thread clean. Zoom and red came up with I think a pretty good resolvement of the white board functionality but I'm not sure what the status of that is (I know Red is going on Holiday this week so I'm not sure if he'll be able to respond...). Zoom how's it looking, have you guys started to deal with the transfer of the info yet? Finally, 20 is slowly putting the engine back together (he's been quite absorbed with his crappy american automobile though understandably). So next steps are? I think obviously the engine needs to be put back together and that's just going to have to wait till 20 has time or can get help from somebody, volunteers? However we can possibly solve the white board transfer independent of the engine as it's working off seperate PHP stuff right? Maybe that can be a stand alone piece for now? No reason why not that I can think of...Red, Zoom, Anyone? And finally, I liked Pink's client design but I think since we have time we can put it through the ringer and make it even tighter...(please don't hit me pink) That's all, I think that the first round of testing came up pretty good, there was nothing that was horriblly wrong, just some tightening up and inclusion of new functionality. We're very close. I don't want this to die out so I'll be the cheerleader here (as I'm definitely not the coder :\ ). Was it over when the Germans Bombed Pearl Harbor? No! So Let's do it! Vilehelm rushes out of the room wearing a toga, screaming at the top of his lungs! (Animal House reference, in case you didn't get it)

Anyhow, I told you before, my version was just an impression to be thrown into the ideas pot, was about time I tried to contribute rather than just bother you all in Wayland, and I suck at code so... Actually, my doodling on paper was probably much better though a lot harder to understand! It didn't quite come out right, oh well, but you got the gist ![]() *waves* K |

I'll be sending all pertinant files to 20 in my absense. As I had integrated the board into the client, I was waiting for the new CMND's and "whammo"!...
Nuff said... I s'pose things'll have to progress without me...*bollocks!* But I'll be in contact with the team and if I can find myself a pooter, I'll work a bit...Can't stay away from the code too long!! Nice summary there Vile...hit the nail on the head... As for the whiteboard...I think it might be a better idea to try it out as a separate thing as Vile said (hadn't thought of that!...) ...Test it as it is and THEN stick it in the client... Zoom should perhaps take over responsibility in regards to that??? Red Penguin says, "LET'S DO IIIITTTTTTTTT!!" and follows Vile's lead. |

YOU DA RODENT!
Pink and I have been cooperalatin on the look and feel. Which means we'll be able to put Red to work when he get's back. Zoom, I think that you should would develop the PHP part of the board (with Red or whoever) as a standalone .swf that we can just load within the client. Seems the cleaner way to go but I could be wrong, is that correct? Anyone have an opinion on that?

You need to recreate your character first, Zoom. Log in using GMUD or MUSHClient.
