Default Calendar Challenge

ok, so its official now. The calendar challenge will begin today. Anyone may enter. Below are the rules and regulations:

Challenge:
To build a calendar, obviously. Build a dynamic calendar that accomidates events via XML. It must be able to show any month of any year accurately.

Rules:
1 - No use of 3rd party components.
2 - Use of default MX components and mx classes permitted.
3 - No PHP/ASP, strictly XML.
4 - AS 2.0/Flash 8

Time:
all entries due by 11:59PM July 30th, 2006 EST.

Your Judges:
CyanBlue
MichaelxxOA
Cota

What we're looking for:
We'll be looking for best practices, such as naming conventions, comments, and ability clearly read your code. We're also looking for the best programmed. So find your balance, find your way, and game on!

We should be able to add an event to an XML file (you specify the XML schema) and that event should be viewable in some form through the calendar.

i think all code posted shoud by public under some similair lizense as linux ....

Yeah very good point, it should be noted that most competitions we hold are for the benefit of the forum, and the community as a whole...

With that said, what would be everyones desired choice?

I didnt know about this whole "XML" deal. My calendar no longer qualifies. I might not be in on this one.
