I ended up using this Free Transform script by Senocular located here http://proto.layer51.com/d.aspx?f=636

I tried some others as well but this one seemed to be the best.

My project never made it past R&D and I haven't been working on it for quite some time. I attached a zip file that I will leave up for a little while then I'll take it down. I developed this is Flash MX 2004 Professional.

I've looked at the script and it looks exactly like what I was looking for. The only problem is, it is written for AS1.0 and my project is written in AS2.0. Although I am not a novice programmer, I don't have that much experience with classes and prototypes.
Is there anyone who re-wrote the FreeTransform.as by Senocular for AS 2.0?

Or can anyone get me started in how to migrate the script to an AS2.0 class?

I know Senocular has written as similar class in AS 3.0, but that would not fit in my project (I think). Or can I use AS3.0 classes in AS2.0 projects?

Any help would much be appreciated!
