Well, I've searched around for the answer to my problem, and haven't found any solutions. If this has already been discussed please accept my apologies.
I want to use external txt files on my flash page, and one of them will need to be scrolled. I have tried to target the text field from the scrollbar, (MX, so it's a component) but haven't had any luck. I have a feeling it's something simple that I'm overlooking. Could someone please lend some assistance. Maybe if you could show me the code, I'll be able to get things sorted out. Thanks very much for any help. |

Yes, I already know how to do that. And I've seen those tutorials, (hence the use of the word "searched" in my post). I wouldn't post a question without first looking at the tutorials now would I? Thanks for assuming I'm an idiot.
I will ask again: Does anyone know how to use a COMPONENT scrollbar to target a text field which uses an external txt file? |
