Unhappy FM Projector file won't run

I've created a projector file using FM Projector 1.5. On all our PC's at work the projector file runs quite happily. When I put it on a CD and take it to our clients offices, it runs on 1 PC and not on the other two. Anybody know any reasons for it not working.

I need to use FM projector as I need to embed PDF files into the Flash. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi,
Is there any error message ?

If the WMP version in your client machines is not 6.4 above, you need to install it.

You may put the WMP 6.4 installer (download it from Microsoft web site) and CHECKWMP.exe (copy it from FMProjector 1.5 directory) into the CD. Then once FMProjector find the WMP versoion in user's machine is under 6.4, it will call WMP installer program automatically!
You may get WMP6.4 installer(mpfull.exe) from Microsoft website

Because you embed pdf file in your project, you also need to use check weather acrobat is intalled on user's machines, if not, you also need to install acrobat.

you can use fas.reg.get to check acrobat
and use fas.shell.open to install acrobat

Thanks for your help.

I hadn't thought about the WMP to be honest. The acrobat installer is already on the CD in case its required. I'll try your suggestion. Cheers.

Sorry. One last thing. Do I just need to put CHECKWMP.exe in the root directory of the CD in order for FM Projector to check the WMP version?

Must be in the same directory with the projector.

Thank you for getting back so quick. Where would I need to put the actual WMP6.4 installer(mpfull.exe) in order for FM Projector to try and install it automatically. I assume it would need to be in the same directory as the projector again.

I've checked with the client this morning (who are big by the way. Good exposure for your product) and indeed the PC's that were not playing the CD only had WMP 6.1.

Thanks again.

I have a couple of questions regarding the FlashAnts tool and how it works with PDF files from MX.

Is this possible?

Yes, FMProjector can embed PDF in Flash by using the following fscommand:

Please feel free to ask your questions here.
