Default Flash Lite 1.1 with getDate()

Right, shame on me!

I know this is absolutely not the right place for this question, but since I know that many (and even more) check this subforum quite often, and since I also couldn't find any truely suitable place I chose to post it here. It will probably be sent to a better place as soon as a moderator sees this, but hopefully after answering my question.

So, I know Flash Lite 1.1 is very much restricted when it comes to AS and I was wondering if anyone of you know if its possible to get the time (trying to make a digital watch as a screensaver for my phone) without getDate().

Thank you for your time.
