Default A white ball and a marker

The challenge:

#1 - Imagine a big white ball and a big black marker. Your Stage shows a small top down close-up section of the ball. As you move your cursor (magic-marker) accross the stage, you draw a black line on the stage and also rotate the ball. It turns ever faster as you leave the center of the stage with your cursor. After a while of drawing you inevitably cross some lines you have previously drawn.

#2 - It has to be fun to draw.

#3 - Starts 2007-02-25 and ends 2007-03-25

Note: the ball must only be recognizable as a ball by principle (drawing on it and crossing previously drawn lines).

Well, I certainly can't speak for CyanBlue, but I think he was referring to this:

Quote:
Each challenge shall relate to a particular Flash Object which shall be named in the challenge thread title. To participate all you have to do is think of a cool function which you can add to the Object in question. For instance, if the Object in question is the TextField, you might make a small spell-checking engine or a method which resizes the text when the up and down arrows are pressed.
Dreaming up something that sounds fun is not the challenge; Adding new features/functionality to existing Flash objects is... At least, that is how I understood it.

Yup... The rule basically says you start your challenge by posting what you have not before asking people to post theirs... If you do, it pretty much sounds the same as 'can you do this for me' kind of request and it probably will be just ignored by others...

a "draw lines with the marker before crossing over while rotating a big white ball in the middle" challenge?

[...] but you might want to make an eye-candy challenge or similar also.
I thought this means that also challenges with a less technical goal would have a place here (See for example the mouse-trails challenge). If that is not the case, please forgive my ignorance and I hereby withdraw this challenge.

Still, do you guys maybe know a forum / blog / website where such, lets call them "artistic", action-script challenges can be posted and discussed?

Thanks, and sorry again.

It is not the difficulty of the challenge... It is just that you have to post what you have and then somebody else can participate... Otherwise, it probably sounds like can you do this for me in the name of challenge type of question...
