Embedding AVI and MPEG files

Is it possible to embed an avi or mpeg video file into a flash presentation? If so, would it be worth increasing the frame rate of the flash file to match the avi/mpeg? Or would it be wiser to decrease the frame rate of avi/mpeg?

Depends on the movie, on your flash movie and basically -and above all- on the result you want to obtain...

Do you have a movie that would be defaced if its framerate would be altered? Then adapt the Flash movie framerate to it.

Wanna save loading time and PC resources client-side? Then adapt the avi/mpeg's framerate to the Flash normal fps...

Ok, so how do i actually embed it????

just make a MC
then Import what u want in it, if u have MX then it will ask u for expanding the frames .... simply say yes
if flash 5, expand the frames 'till the end of the movie by adding a blank key frame
