Hi guys,
I am planning to develop a flash game site for mobile phones, so users can download SWF games into their mobile devices. Basically, I'm brand new to the SMS market, and have a pile of questions as to how it all comes together. On one site, I've seen that the user selects the game to download, and the site asks the user to sms the word xxxx to *1111 (example). Then on another site, I've seen that the user selects the game to download and enters his/her mobile phone number, then they get an instant sms message. They use that message to connect to the database and download the selected game. Does anyone know how this is all done? Is it expensive to open an account with the mobile phone provider? Any links, resources, forum threads which can help me understand the whole method will be VERY appreciated. Thanks, flashbot. ![]() |

I have posted a thread in the General Help section relating to "cell phone Flash Games for SMS download". It seems to be the right place to post it, BUT it surely doesn't seem like the most popular place in Actionscript.org. It has very little activity in comparison to this area.
If anybody knows how the flash games + sms download market operates, please read my thread: http://www.actionscript.org/forums/s....php3?t=133432 and share your knowledge ... Thank you much, flashbot. |
