how to start a new process , for example notepad.exe or something else. And is there a way to terminate the process ?

Yes it would be nice if someone could post the API methods available in general as a starter. I havent even downloaded the SDK yet, will be doing that soon and doing a hello world

Currently you cannot launch new processes, but what you can do is open files with their associated application.
