Default Trapping player/browser close/exit?
I'd like to run a snippet of code when my SWF is unloaded/exited, similar to C's "atexit" -- is there any facility for this?

Not in ActionScript itself. You might be able to capture the event with JavaScript and pass in the event through ExternalInterface.
