cyanblue, have you entered the world of as3? or can AIR stuff be done with as2?

AS3??? Me??? Nah... I am not even close to AS2 myself... I'll get there sometime in 2010...

Correct me if I am wrong, but you can sorta mash up whatever you have which could include AS2 SWF but it'd be best to use AS3 to utilize all the new libraries...

i cant help you there. heck i just got IT here to update folks to flash player 8. we will see 9 in a year or two im sure.

Nope. Adobe AIR is 100% AS3. (which is awesome).

Um... I don't totally agree with you on that... The class that you can use with AIR is AS3, yes... But you could still have AS2 SWF embedded into the HTML page and have JavaScript talk to AS3 library and get back to AS2 SWF... The only reason why I would ever do that would be when I need to utilize existing SWF files though...

I think the main point to take away is that AS3 has all the AIR APIs for Flash and that they're not in AS2 ; )
