Feedback on my website please
Folks, we just launched a beta version of the website I built – it will go public next month. Would you mind taking a look at http://ohiogi.com and comment/critique?
The site's 100% Flash, built in AS3. Pretty much all the content is loaded from XML, and a lot of the diseases/procedures content comes from another site in HTML that I clean up (with Tidy), parse, and load into Flash. The page also autoresizes (vertical).

Looks pretty good. My only real problem with it is that you cant really tell the buttons are buttons since when you rollover the little click hand doesnt show up.

Really good site!
Two things id like to change:
1- Small pics witht changing portraits of doctors should be resized to visible size by special graphic package. I always use two copies of image. First (small) for thumbnail. Second (big) the image.
2-Then you move mouse on the main page over pic with doctor and old man cursor changes to "input text state" but there is no visible text field

Yeah I'd also say the hand needs to appear when hovering over link, especially for plain text links you could get away with an arrow in my opinion if its clearly a button, other than that pretty impressive, I need to learn how to integrate flash with xml soon.
Is that a custom loading cursor i just seen there? Thats cool. The rotating kidney is very impressive also if that was done on flash

Thanks, fixed it! WRT doctor images, I'm only loading the "bigger" ones of the profiles and scaling them down for the top animation.

Yeah, fixed the hand thing. Thanks. The rotating stomach I did in LightWave and brought into Flash as FLV.
WRT XML, I'd strongly recommend it. It makes the whole thing very flexible for one thing. E.g., the forms you see are generated on the fly from Adobe Designer in XDP (Designer's XML format for forms). So, if you change the form in Designer, it saves as XDP, and Flash will pick up right off the XDP to rebuild the form.
