Are you new to AS or programming in general?

The o'reilly books are good.. Check them out. They have books for different levels of experiences.

Howdy and Welcome...

My favorite answer is 'Flash Manual' aka F1... That's the best starting place in my opinion...

This website actionscript.org also offers a new innovative way of teaching actionscript.

1. Go through the tutorial section. You will find the Beginner, Intermediate and Expert level tutorials.

2. Then try solving the problems posted by others in this forum. You will gain a level of confidence! or atleast new ways of problem solving approach.

One of the way to gain knowledge is to distribute knowledge!

Default Books.

I've heard that the Flash 9 Bible is a good book.

I have read "Essential Action Script 3.0" by Colin Moock and it is very detailed, but is really written more from a programming point of view than an artistic one.

I would also look on Amazon.com and do some searches there.

They have reviews for each of the books and you can find the one that best suits your needs.

I hope this helps.
Kevin.
