Here it is.....I would love to see a FLASH GUILD.
Why not, we have the best of the best.... Create a FLASH GUILD, where peoples abilities can be tested and assigned rank in the guild, such as novice level 2, intermediate developer lever 4, master user lever 1, and so on and so on. ((Or whatever!))--- Someone could develop training tests, etc. Why? Well if this is done in a serious and legitimate manner, it could be used for resumes, its something you could post on your site to potential customer, sites like ActionsScripts and FK could generate income for better servers, and well it would be pretty cool really. Problems? Getting the standards together, which gurus know the most whatever, but doesnt that sound like an even okay idea? maybe... ![]() tvance |

It's an interesting idea but I think there's a few holes in it. For starters, most of the best ActionScripters and deigners would be too busy to participate in the challenges because they're off making buckets of cash on some commercial project.
Also, it would sort-of promote competition amongst people who should otherwise be helping each other out. Like if I'm almost as good as you and I post on the Forums, you might decide not to help me out because it would give me an edge over you. Plus it's kinda competitive in general and I'm not much one for competition... This is just my personal opinion though, and I'm not saying it's a bad idea, or that we wouldn't participate. Cheers Jesse

the last thing I was thinking is to promote competition, i think these forums and these communities are probably one of the most exciting things I've ever seen on the internet.
I thought to myself, okay Im taking these tutorials, Im reading these forums, but what is next. There really is no order of things to know...ya know! If there was like a formatted guild that said, 'Hey learn this and this and this then you can go to the next level and learn this and this and this....I think that would be very beneficial..... As far as you Gurus who are making buckets o' cash, I see your point, I wonder, however, if there are not enough of you to be able to do just a little bit a piece and still get alot done.... Ya this idea is probably just pie in the sky, when you think of the logistics, and time just to get it started but man I think it would be great.... thanks for the reply JESS!!! 'put anotha shrimp on the bawbie!' --sorry tvance |
