Default which flash player version to export to

Hi, I have a client who is not able to see my flash movie on a few of his clients computes using old versions of flash, and tells me he sees other flash sites fine.

When I export the swf file out of flash, it gives me the option to choose any flash player going back all the way to flash player 1. Will choosing an old export version like flash player 1 allow the swf file to be viewable on the most browsers? What other options do I have to ensure that is vieweable on as many computers as possible?

thanks tons!!

Jeff

The lowest you can! I'd say 6, assuming you're not using Flash 7 Flash 8 or Flash 9 only features...

Try Publishing for 6, and you should be warned if using only higher version features...

Hi, thanks for the post. I've already published it to 6, but my client is still saying that he can't see it on some of the computers at his hospital. It's very basic flash, can I save it out to a very early version like flash 2 or 3 just to be sure?

thanks!!

Worth a try... But I think it may be time for your client to upgrade some of his machines...
