Default Can I use VideoDisplay to Play Local Video Files?

Hello, I'm trying to load a local .mov file using VideoDisplay component, but it isn't working (or throwing an error). The documentation mentions VideoDisplay is for FLV files, but I've read some other stuff which suggests it can also play .MOV files.

Can someone please explain, or point me in the right direction?
