Default Does the air player render faster then flash player?

my charts render pretty slow in flash player.

i was wondering if i were to change it over to an air application, would the charts render faster?

eh, this debatable actually.
how big are your datasets? where is the cost being incurred? if the datasets are big then the dela could be in loading the info, we have a large Air app that shows graphs for a LOT f data and managing it from sqlite gave us good performance benefits in the greater scheme of things

it would make sense for adobe to throttle the speed of movies in the browser because it is running inside another program.

no that makes no sense. the active x control on win or plugin embed on other systems might make it run slower but why would you want to make it slower yourself.
