flash remoting - install issue

whenever I try to install the flash remoting kit I download off macromedia.com I get the error message:

SEVERE: This application requires Macromedia Flash MX. This install will exit. [ ok ]

this happens as the windows installer is preparing to continuue the installation.

I have Flash MX and it's installed.

has anyone had this problem? any solutions?
All I want to do is start playing with flash remoting!

please somebody help!

reinstalling flsh through the "add new programs" fixes this
