Talking Hmmm... chmod .htaccess saving... doh !!!

Im making this site www.cyc180.com(PS>NOT DONE) and they're having this link to upcoming events that they're doing. I made an events flash page that reads this "events.txt" file and puts it up.

Now I have this folder with .htaccess and inside the folder i have this flash app where it reads the events.txt into an input field.

Now the moderators of the site can modify the text but not save it. I cant figure out how to save the txt file!

I thought MMsave(the_name_that_i_cant_think_of, "events.txt")
Might do it but nope.

Oh yea and if some of you were thinking maybe he didn't chmod the .txt file on the server so it can't be written to ... i did chmod 777

Ok I hope there is a simple solution to this
