Lightbulb Eric Natzke's silky page turning effect....WOW!!!

I got a mailing from Moock yesterday about asdg2, containing a link to this page turning effect.

In one word...WOW!!

Now, I've looked around the forum and found pixelwit's page turn effect, which comes pretty damn close...but Erik Natzke's just looks even smoother and more realistic...

I'd like to use the same effect, but then flipping bottom to top, instead of left to right, since I'd like to have it as a flip-over (you know, the big standing ones, to show charts and presentations and stuff on in meetings...), so it needs to flip to page from the bottom, over the top, to the back. When you come closer to the top, the page from the back lifts up, so you can flip it back to front)...

Does anyone have an idea....?! It would be much appreciated!

Later dudes!!

Not too shabby.

Some VERY cool geometry going on there. Turning backwards seems to make an odd flicker though.

In case anyone's interested, I've been improving my version of the PageFlip effect by adding a few features people have requested.

Better corner buttons.
One click auto-flip.
Sequentially "flip" to any page.
Turn to any bookmarked page.
Page easing.
Faster performance.

Contact me if you'd like to learn more.

I don't think that is the new improved version of “Page Flip”, or is it?

I've got to admit, I am totally fascinated by that page-turning effect. Although I am still a bit new to Flash, I 've been playing around with PiXELWiT's source code.

I've been trying to modify it in a way that additional pages could be added without having to change the .fla file. I would pass the script the number of pages when it is called, but I couldn't get it to replace the pages of the original Movie with my own. I tried to load my pages (which are JPGs) using the loadMovie command. Unfortunately I haven't had much success.

Any help would be appreciated!

Martin

P.S.: I am highly interested in the improved Version of the PageFlip Code.
