Red face Preview link content framework

Hi all! I am looking for a framework/example of how to achieve the following cool effect: say I have a link that can point to a whatever file (xml, HTML page, jpeg file); What I would like to have is when I roll-over the link, to have this "preview" of the content that the link points to (small image if the content is an image, etc). I don't really know how this feature is called but you can see it rather often on the net these days...
Thanks for the help!
