[AS3] Driving Tutorial in Flash?

Hi,

So I'm not the worlds best programmer and I have the task of creating a driving tutorial for learners in Flash (lucky me). So, it is supposed to be in the view of the driver, I have the controls working etc but I cannot figure out how I can create the surroundings dependant on what button the user presses.

After following many tutorials, I have so far a view that when the user keys Down, the car moves forward. But, at the moment it is only going straight.

Can I even get the illusion that they are turning a road in Flash?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
