What I need to make a game ?

I have been wanting to make a game that I can embed in a web page and save hiscores. So I used to try this using javascript and SQL but now I do not have my own web server. I pay some money to use a cheap one.

So my question is... with this cheap web server + FLASH + ACTIONSCRIPT + XML

can I make a game with a hiscore table. IF not what am I missing?

or if any web sites that woudl help me understand what this entials let me know

find a server that will support server side scripts like php,asp etc.
