Default [AS3] Getting play button to play a movieclip then move forward in the main timeline

I have a play button (instance name - play1)

When I click it I want it to play a short movie clip (called - introExpandMC) then for it to move on to frame 2 of my my main time line.

I have the code:

stop();
function playGame (evt:MouseEvent):void {
gotoAndPlay(2)
}
play1.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_DOWN,playG ame);

on the main time line and a stop(); on the movieclip(introExpandMC).

Where do I go from here?

Many thanks in advance... I know its a stupid question, I just can't remember for the life of me how to do it!

Thank you x

Well, in that function you're not specifying that is the "introExpandMC" movieclip the one you wanna play, you should do that, it's as simple as replacing "gotoAndPlay(2)" for introExpandMC.gotoAndPlay(2)
