swf2video not working with loaded movies

Hey there.

I'm trying to output a couple of projects to video. Both have a base movie that in one instance loads another .swf into a level and in another instance loads an external .swf into a target movie clip.

swf2video appears to successfully play the swf's, but when it does the 'convert to avi' process it does not show the loaded swf.

I have tried using the latest demo's currently available from the flashants.com site for both swf2video and the pro version.

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Please use the full path instead of relative path when you use loadMovie to load extern swf files, because SWF2Video doesn't support relative path yet

I've tried the full path as follows;

loadMovieNum("http://hoss/nuts.swf", 69);

where http://hoss/ is my local web server

Again everything looks fine as I interact with the movie but when it does its 'converting to avi' it does not show the loaded swf.

Any more suggestions?

did you try
loadMovieNum("c:\\MyDir\\nuts.swf", 69) ?

instead of http path ?

Thanks for that. I can now export to video including loaded .swf's.

But now another problem.

It does not appear to be able to accept keyboard input. I am trying to export a section of swf where the arrow keys are used to walk a character about the screen.

But nothing happens when I press the keys.

Is there a workaround for this?

I suppose I could put some invisible buttons in the movie which would trigger the movement instead of the keys, but the advantage of swf2video appears to be the lack of reauthoring required over other techniques, such as the PBW Director method.

FYI, I was successful in faking the keyboard input by using a series of invisible buttons around the edge of my movie that onRollover had the same action has the pressing the keys.

Although it took a few attempts to get used to, it did the trick allowing me to export real-time Flash game footage.

I used SWF2Video Pro, and it saved me a LOT of time. It's not a perfect solution but I'd recommend it to anyone that's got quite a few bits of Flash to output to video.
