Anyone know how to edit the options under "OPEN" when you right-click on a file in win2k?
I know that for "SEND TO", there is a folder under C:admin/sendto... but I can't find out how to edit "OPEN"
Thanks all.

Yea, I know you can do it that way, but there is a way you can actually edit the right-click button, under OPEN, so you can put program shortcuts there... so you don't have to go to 'open with' and select the program from a list... havne't figured it out yet, but some apps give you the option to add a shortcut there..

No no, if you use Open with, Windoze remembers the programs and creates a popup menu in your right click that allows you to right click > Open with X without having to select it from that dumb list. At least WinME does that... I just assumed win2k did also

if you want to edit the actual open you go to Windoze explorer and use Tools > Folder Options > File Typers > Find the file and edit it's open properties

Cheers
