Default Converting Adobe Flash Professional CS5.5 .fla to Adobe Flash Professional 8
I'd like to convert a Adobe Flash Professional CS5.5 .fla file to an Adobe Flash Professional 8 .fla file. Is this possible without downloading Adobe Flash Professional CS4 and CS3?

Howdy and Welcome...

Nope... You'd need Flash MX 2004 as well to save it to that version of FLA... Besides, that won't guarantee the FLA will function properly if some of the new features were used...

If I'm using ActionScript 2.0 would it be good enough?

Not entirely... There are some other new stuff you can add from the timeline without ever touching ActionScript... So, if you are using any of those new stuff, the converted FLA won't do much good for you...
