_root help to button in holder movie

Hi:

I have a movie called platform.swf which loads an external swf called gallery.swf.

I have a button inside the platform swf that sits on top of this "loaded" gallery swf.

I need to get to that "main" movie button to affect it's visibility at times and do so from the action script that's inside a movie clip (content_mc) of the the gallery swf.

In other words, the path back would be from:
the content_mc
that's inside the gallery.swf
that was loaded in a holder by the platform.swf.

I tried various _root approaches including level0 but keep goofing up.

Can this even be done? If so I would GREATLY appreciate a hand since the
client is not so patiently waiting. Oye.
