Default Challenge (eye candy) - Tree-style cracking

Here's a challenge for all you crack coders out there. Produce a progressively spidering crack that starts in the middle and branches out.

-Try to keep it under 25 lines
-Extra "points" for a 3d look

I will not be including my code, because this is way beyond me, I have included a sample of what a "spidering crack" looks like if you didn't understand my feeble explanation (it's a frame-by-frame).

If you want some inspiration, take a look at "Matriculated" on the Animatrix DVD, there is awesome cracking/spidering thing going on in the cube.

Cheers.
