the blah blah call the old onClipEvent(enterframe) as it is just a cover code, but the old is still the same

That makes total sense. I've used that before but most often I use the former onClipEvent(enterframe). So you do most of your coding on the root? That's pretty intense. Neat though.

Ensuring all of your code is on the main timeline helps when it comes to debugging or adapting code.
Its very time consuming hunting through lots of mCs looking for a snippet that does "something to something else somewhere else".

I have an issue where I'm not putting objects on frame 1 so that my preloader will show up in ample time. I have a background on frame 2 and I set the onEnterFrame event handler for it in a the timeline but it won't fire when the movie gets to the second frame. Why? Thanks.
