a bit of a problem. i have a .swf file from a .fla i was working on. system crashed and i lost all of my work for the past 2 hours. is there a way for me to retrieve my work from the .swf file?

Depends. If you've lost your code then you could try using something like ActionScript Viewer 1.5 which will rip the code (or most of it) from the SWF. But graphis and the like are long gone I'm afraid.
