Video/Audio Synch Issue

I have searched through the posts and found information that doesn't seem to be much help. I love the Flash article that says that we pretty much can't control audio and video synching together. Gee, I don't suppose my paying clients care to understand the technical reasoning behind audio streaming complexities? Sorry, to my question...

I have an 'flv' file that I am working with and everything seems to be fine *gulp* when I publish the audio in mp3 format. However, the movie I am working with is just someone talking so I am trying to get the 'speech' export setting to work correctly. When I publish the movie in mp3 it works fine and then the timing mysteriously changes when I switch it to 'speech' export. Does anyone have any idea what may be going on? or how to fix it?
