Bullet holes using duplicateMovieClip?

I am trying to make one symbol which is the bullet hole be duplicated and put in the place where the gun was targetted (I can do that by telling the bullet hole to appear at the same x and y as the crosshair). The thing that I can't do is make the bullet hole duplicate and make another appear somewhere else while the other one stays in place. Please help!

use duplicateMovieClip for that.

bulletHoleClip.duplicateMovieClip(newname, depth);

press F1 - Actionscript reference - D - duplicateMovieClip to get some more reference.
