Default copy/paste in custom ui

Hello,

I am creating a component with a custom ui (MX) and it seems like i can't use copy and paste functions within that custom ui to enter string values in the different input textfields...(instead, it closes the custom UI pannel and paste the text as a new static text on the stage).

Is this a flash bug or did i missed something?

Thx,

Lolotte

when i copy and paste from a ui, it copies the actual component and not the text, so what i did, was insert a listener into the ui for the mac and pc key shortcuts for copy and pasting and everytime they where detected the ui showed a message alerting the user that it was best to right click > copy on the text

Thanks Buggedcom!
Sadly, it looks like the shortcuts for copy/paste simply don't work in the component parameter pannel. Still, i like your idea of alerting the user if he tries to...
At least we have the right-click >paste alternative!!!
